This is the official biography of Dee – Adedayo “Dee” Aderombi is a professional comedian who identifies with the Laftamania brand. He started professional comedy at Covenant University, Ota. Dayo runs DeeOne House Of Comedy and has won several awards, including Alibaba’s Spontaneity Show. He is popularly known as DeeOne. His parents are based in the U.K.

Dee was born on February 17 in Minna, Niger State. He is the first son of Pastor Yemi Aderombi of Fruitful Christian Life Ministries, United Kingdom. He also has a brother and a sister – Tayo and Adejoke. Although born in Niger, his parents moved to Lagos when he was just one year old. They are now based in London, The United Kingdom.




Dee’s academic journey began at Toamy Private Primary School, Ikotun, Lagos State. He later moved to Excel college, Lagos for his secondary education. However, after his JSS 3, Dee moved again to Christ the King Catholic College, Odolewu-Ijebu, Ogun State.

Dee enrolled at Covenant University after his secondary education. He studied Architecture. He developed his skills while studying here.


Ade in his over 7 years career, has worked with a lot of top comedians like Alibaba, Julius Agwu, Omobaba, Basketmouth, SACO, SLK, etc. However, Dee first hit the professional stage in 2010. He featured on Julius Agwu’s Crack Ya Ribs in London. He eventually won the Amstel Malta Showtime as Best Comedian in Lagos region in 2011.

DeeOne made record in December 2014. He became the First Nigerian Stand-Up Comedian to perform at London’s renowned comedy club ‘Comedy Store‘. His audience was mainly non-African.

Adedayo in 2015 won Alibaba’s Spontaneity Talent Show. He has also featured on shows like Laff Mataz With Gbenga Adeyinka and I go Dye’s 20 Years on Stage in London, 2015. He also performed at Stand Up Nigeria organized by Bunmi Davies in 2014 and Basketmouth’s Lord of the Ribs 2017.

Comedian DeeOne is also a regular host of Omobaba’s “Unknot your tie” hosted every Wednesday.


Dee was unveiled as a housemate on Sunday 28 January 2018. When asked what he will miss the most, he pointed to his phone. He promised BBNaija fans great humour as he stays in the House. If he was a world leader, Dee-One says he would change the poverty mentality.

When asked what he will do with the prize money, he said: I have already booked a date at Eko Hotel for my show in November, I’m just waiting for the prize money, I’m also starting a comedy agency where we will sign
