Economic Recession of Frustration? Lagos Driver's Body Found Dangling from a Suicide Rope (Photo)
A 34-year-old Lagos-based driver identified as Ogbe Olalekan, has allegedly hanged himself on a tree at the Kofo Abayomi junction, Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, on the Victoria Island, Lagos on Saturday.
According to a report by Punch Metro, the body of the victim who lived in Agbo Ope Compound, Iberele, Badagry, was found dangling from a rope by some residents who alerted policemen from the Victoria Island division.
Speaking to a news correpondent, a police source said nobody knew why the victim killed himself, adding that no suicide note was found on him.
He said, “He killed himself on Saturday. Also at the scene were a bench and leather sanders.
“The only thing we found on him was his driving licence, which contained his name, age and address. Nobody knew him or could provide information about how he got there. The name on the licence read, Ogbe Adekitan Olalekan.”
The remains of the victim were reportedly taken to a mortuary in the area.
