Floyd Mayweather’s Father Charged With Assaulting Woman
Floyd Mayweather Sr., father of retired boxer Floyd Mayweather, has been charged with misdemeanor battery and a warrant was issued for his arrest on January 16.
Mayweather Sr. was accused of attacking a woman after Canelo Alvarezvs. Gennady Golovkinfight in Las Vegaslast September. The alleged incident reportedly took place in the early hours of September17th, after an argument broke out between Mayweather Sr. and the alleged victim in his car.
According to TMZ Sports, Mayweather Sr. asked the woman who was heading towards his car to get out when the argument occurred and when she refused, he dragged her out by the leg.
The 65-year old former boxer purportedly punched the woman in her leg before getting backin his car to zoom off. The woman was later hospitalized for minor injuries.
Mayweather Sr. was a professional boxer from 1974 to 1990 and has trained different boxers since retiring, including his son, for select fights.
