Chinese Super League a danger – Conte

Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, has admitted that the Chinese Super League is “a danger” to big clubs across Europe.

Conte was speaking at his Friday press conference, as the Blues prepare to confirm the transfer of Oscar to Shanghai SIPG in a £60million deal.

Oscar started Conte’s first games, but has lost his spot in the team ever, effectively becoming a squad player at Stamford Bridge.

Conte has reluctantly given the green light for the transfer, but warned other clubs about the big money Chinese clubs are armed with.

“The Chinese market is a danger for all,” he said.

“Not only for Chelsea but all the teams in the world. But I think we must concentrate on our work, not think that in China there is a lot of money and they can arrive to take the players there.

“I think this [English] league is fantastic. To play in this league is a great opportunity, an honour. You must be very proud to play in this league because now it’s the best league in the world to play. For this reason, I don’t worry about this [becoming a regular occurrence].”
