Relegation battle not over yet, says Plateau United's Danladi

The goalkeeper has urged his teammates to remain focussed until the end of the NPFL season as they continue to battle against the drop
Despite sitting eight points above the relegation zone, Plateau United shot-stopper Isa Danladi wants his teammates to remain focussed until the season has concluded.

The Tin City outfit are a newly-promoted outfit and keeping their top flight status at the end of the season remains top priority.

Danladi, who joined the Jos-based club few matches into the season, has been impressive in their continued fight against the drop.

"When I joined Plateau United FC, they were in the relegation zone and to the glory of God the club has moved out of the danger zone but the battle isn't over yet," Danladi told Goal.

"We have to stay focused till the end of the season because our top priority is to keep the NPFL status intact.

"When I joined Plateau United alongside a couple of other quality additions, the performances of the team improved.

"We all worked as a team and that determination has helped the team a great deal."

Danladi has played in 24 matches and he has kept 13 clean sheets this season.
