EBOLA: Schools To Resume By October – FG

Nigeria’s Ministry for Education has announced that all public and private schools classes are to be delayed by a month as this is part of the “preventive measures” against the Ebola virus which was brought into Nigeria 38 days ago.
Education Minister Ibrahim Shekarau today told senior teachers in the country: “All primary and secondary schools in private and public sectors are to remain closed until Monday, October 13”.

“This is to ensure that adequate preventive measures are put in place before students resume,” he said.
Normal school activities across the nation had been planned to resume this September.
This news comes as the Ministry of Health had earlier today revealed that two more people had been released from isolation after recovering from Ebola, and only one living patient with the disease in the country.

Health Minister Onyebuchi Chukwu said that the nation saw 13 cases of the virus brought into the nation by Liberian Patrick Sawyer.
