Five kidnappers have been killed by the Police at Egba Owode area of Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.

?He said the kidnappers ?opened fire on police operatives on the rescue operation.?

The PRO disclosed that the victim had been in captivity for five days after he was? ambushed last Friday?, ?dragged out of his vehicle at gunpoint ?and taken into a forest along Ajura-Ogere road in the council area.

Oyeyemi said the kidnappers ?then ?made contact with his family to demand the N100 million.

“But, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Ilyasu gave a marching order to rescue the victim and apprehend the suspected kidnappers?.?

The rescued victim Stephen Adesokan narrated his ordeal to journalists?.

?“I was driving on the fateful day when the suspects accosted me.

“The bandits emerged from a nearby bush and at gun point forced me out of the car, after which they led me into a bush, trekking for about an hour.”

?He? added that the bandits later declared to him that they were kidnappers and ordered him to speak to his family on phone.
