Zamalek dump Enyimba out of CAF Champions League

Enyimba have been eliminated from the CAF Champions League, after they were beaten 1-0 by Zamalek, at the Petro Sport Stadium in Cairo on Monday.
The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, needed an outright win, to put themselves in contention for a semi-final spot in the competition.

However, Bassem Morsy struck in the second half from the penalty spot, to hand the Egyptian club all three points and a ticket into the next round.


This means Enyimba’s last group match against Mamelodi Sundowns, will only be a mere formality.
