Kelechi delighted to secure victory for Plateau United

Plateau United defender Kelechi John is a happy man after his side beat Ikorodu United 1-0 in a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) encounter at the Rwang Pam Stadium on Sunday.

The full back bagged an early goal for the Peace Boys in the exciting fixture.

"Scoring the only goal of the match gives me joy," Kelechi told Goal.

"Everyone feels happy when they overcome opponents in football and I am no exception.

"There is no more talk of relegation in our ranks. I think everybody at the club should be commended for the efforts.

"We will now playing our remaining matches with peace in our minds," he concluded.

Plateau United are currently 11th in the NPFL table with 48 points from 34 games.
