Victor Osimhen looks set to sign for Arsenal after they saw off competition from Tottenham for his services.

The 16-year-old striker fired Nigeria to victory in the Under-17 World Cup last month and is hot property in world football.

Tottenham had appeared to be in pole position until recently, but his agent has confirmed Arsenal have made an offer and are close to a deal.

‘We’ve had many offers for Victor,’ said Gaffar Liameed.

‘But we’ve narrowed it down to Arsenal and Wolfsburg.’

The Sun follows up the story by saying Osimhen has now visited Wolfsburg’s training centre but wants to sign for Arsenal instead.

Osimhen scored 10 goals in seven games for Nigeria U17s.
