Rohr congratulates Obaje for emerging NPFL highest goalscorer

Coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr has congratulated the top scorer in the just-concluded 2015/16 Nigeria Professional Football League season, Godwin Obaje, after the Wikki Tourists striker was given the Goal King award in Abuja yesterday.
The striker was one of the players called up to replace some Euro-based players who failed to turn up for the Super Eagles camp preparing for Sunday’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia on Sunday in Ndola.

The Franco-German coach personally presented the award to Obaje who scored 18 goals in the just-concluded season.

“I am proud of your achievement this season; you have been challenged to surpass your personal goals record. Congratulations,” he said.

Obaje however dedicated the award to his family, friends and team mates.

He said, “I am delighted, it is a great honour. I am dedicating the award to my family, friends and teammates at Wikki Tourists and I hope to be better next season.”
