The midfielder does not fear Rogério Micale’s side, insisting the Dream Team VI are ready to take on any opposition
Nigeria U23 captain John Obi Mikel has stressed that Samson Siasia’s side don’t fear anyone ahead of a potential quarter-final clash against hosts Brazil.
Dream Team VI booked their ticket for the final eight following victories over Japan and Sweden in their first two games – and the Chelsea is brimming with confidence.
“There is also a possibility that we might get the hosts Brazil in the next round but I say “bring it on”,” Obi wrote inEvening Standard.
“If we don’t face them now, we could play them later so there is no point being worried about them or anyone else in the tournament.
“After all the drama of getting here, the dream of winning the gold medal is the only thing on my mind.”
Brazil are winless after two games and a defeat against Denmark in their last group game at the Arena Fonte Nova, Salvador will end their dreams of progressing to the knock out phase.
