The Super Eagles defeated Swaziland 2 – 0 in Port-Harcourt thanks to goals from Moses Simon and Efe Ambrose.

Simon scored the first goal from a freekick while Efe Ambrose scored the second by flicking Sylvester Igboun’s free-kick from the right to send Nigeria into the group phase of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying stages.
My mother, Alice Adievu Ambrose, predicted I am going to do well for Eagles against Swaziland and score a goal and it came to pass,” said an elated Ambrose.
“And so I dedicated the goal to her for her never-ending support and encouragement.
Ambrose, has represented Nigeria at U20 and U23 levels, earning himself over 50 caps for Eagles.
Nigeria will now be included in the group phase of the qualifiers which includes five groups of four teams each with the overall group winners qualifying for the World Cup in Russia in 2018.
