Warri Wolves, IfeanyiUbah FC sanctioned for attacks on referees

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clubs, Warri Wolves and IfeanyiUbah FC, have been punished for various crowd trouble incidences.
Wolves will play their next three home fixtures behind closed doors.

They will also pay a N1million fine for pitch encroachment, during their home tie against Wikki Tourists and an additional N750,000 for other breaches.

Wolves are also expected to pay N1.25million as compensation to the match officials and the properties they lost during the assault.

There is also a suspended two-point deduction on the Warri team, subject to good conduct for the remainder of the campaign.

IfeanyiUbah has been fined N750,000, after the referee for their home game against Sunshine Stars, was also attacked.
